The clients brief was to design within the constraints of the existing building, an establishment that had the charm and feel of an old English pub.  Onsite car parking was a major constraint and was directly related to the amount of public floor area we could provide.  The addition of an open balcony above the existing canopy structure provided valuable outdoor space.
